- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (dark or semi-sweet)
- A pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Soak the pitted Medjool dates in warm water for about 10 minutes.
- Drain the soaked dates and blend them until smooth to create a date paste.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the date paste, nut butter, and cocoa powder until well incorporated.
- Fold in the rolled oats and chopped nuts gently.
- Press the mixture into a lined 8×8 inch baking dish, making sure it’s compact.
- Melt the chocolate chips and pour over the mixture in the dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle additional nuts or sea salt on top as desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set, then cut into squares and enjoy.
