Description

A delicious and healthy treat made with dates and nuts, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth without the guilt.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup nuts (almonds or pecans)
  • 1/4 cup nut butter (almond or cashew)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Pit the dates and soak in warm water for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a food processor, blend the softened dates, nut butter, cocoa powder, and coconut oil until smooth.
  3. Add chopped nuts and a pinch of salt, and pulse a few times to combine.
  4. Line a baking dish with parchment paper and press the mixture into the dish evenly.
  5. Refrigerate for at least an hour to set, then slice into bars.
  6. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

Store bars in an airtight container in the fridge for freshness. These bars can also be frozen for up to three months.
