Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips and dried cherries.
- Portion out the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving enough space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and the centers look slightly underbaked.
- Cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
