Ingredients

- 6 cups Chex cereal (rice or corn)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips (optional)
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Melt the peanut butter and corn syrup together in a medium saucepan over low heat.
- Add the Chex cereal, folding it until all pieces are evenly coated.
- Press the mixture into the prepared dish using a spatula.
- Melt the semisweet chocolate in another saucepan.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal layer.
- Sprinkle butterscotch chips on top, if desired.
- Let it set for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator or a couple of hours at room temperature.
- Slice into squares and enjoy!
Notes
Substitutions include almond butter or sunflower seed butter for nut-free versions. Honey can be used instead of corn syrup if needed.
