Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine rolled oats, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt; whisk well.
- In a separate bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until fully incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the dark chocolate chips or chunks.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers slightly underbaked.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
