Description

A rich chocolate cake threaded with creamy peanut butter and topped with gooey Reeses pieces, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup Reeses pieces
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  3. In a large bowl, combine chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and oil. Stir until just combined; lumps are okay!
  4. Spoon dollops of peanut butter throughout the batter and swirl lightly with a knife.
  5. Gently fold in Reeses pieces.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes, then drizzle with a glaze made of powdered sugar and milk, and top with extra Reeses pieces.
  8. Slice into squares and serve.

Notes

For added creativity, substitute chocolate cake mix with a vanilla mix for a different flavor. Can be made gluten-free with appropriate cake mix.
