- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, chopped onion, and optional Parmesan cheese. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce, then mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs, about the size of golf balls.
- If baking, place the meatballs on a lined baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
- If sautéing, cook the meatballs for about 8-10 minutes in the skillet, turning occasionally until browned on all sides.
- Optionally, simmer the meatballs in marinara sauce for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve hot with spaghetti, on a sub roll, or alongside veggies for a wholesome meal.
Notes
These meatballs freeze beautifully; allow them to cool, then freeze individually before storing in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months.
