- 1 cup pecan halves
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the pecan halves and mix well to coat them in the melted butter.
- Sprinkle in the brown sugar and salt, stirring continuously until the sugar begins to liquefy.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
- Transfer the mixture to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Spread the pecans out in an even layer.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through. Watch closely to prevent burning.
- Let them cool completely before enjoying.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg to the sugar mixture.
