- 8 oz high-quality semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (or coconut cream)
- Zest of 1 fresh orange
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- Cocoa powder or chopped nuts for rolling (walnuts, pistachios, or shredded coconut)
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a double boiler until smooth.
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it simmers, then pour over the melted chocolate.
- Gently fold in the orange zest.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours until firm enough to handle.
- Roll small amounts of the ganache into balls using your hands or a melon baller.
- Coat each truffle in cocoa powder or chopped nuts.
- Chill the rolled truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet for at least 30 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
