Description

A comforting dish that combines tender noodles with a rich spinach and ricotta filling, topped with marinara sauce and melted cheese.

  • Ricotta Cheese
  • Fresh Spinach
  • 1 Egg
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Marinara Sauce
  • Fresh Garlic
  • Chopped Onions
  • Fresh Basil
  • Fresh Oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, sautéed spinach, egg, half of the mozzarella, half of the parmesan, and minced garlic.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  5. Take a noodle, spread a generous amount of filling over it, and roll it up tightly.
  6. Place the roll-up seam-side down in the baking dish and repeat until all noodles are filled.
  7. Pour more marinara sauce over the top and sprinkle remaining mozzarella and parmesan.
  8. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Let the roll-ups cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh basil or parsley.

Notes

For added texture, consider using a mix of cheeses like feta or gouda in the filling.
