- 1 pound fresh salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- Chopped green onions for garnish
- Toasted sesame seeds for topping
- Seaweed snacks (cut into strips)
- Soy sauce for serving
Instructions
- Rinse sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear and cook according to package instructions.
- Cube salmon and sauté in a skillet with teriyaki sauce until cooked through, about 4-5 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine the cooked rice, sautéed salmon, and mayonnaise; mix well.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and spread the mixture in a greased baking dish.
- Top with extra mayonnaise and sesame seeds, then bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Garnish with green onions and serve warm with seaweed snacks and soy sauce.
Notes
For a vegetarian alternative, consider using tofu or shrimp. Adjust the toppings to suit your taste, perhaps adding avocado or sriracha.
