Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth. Allow it to cool slightly.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs, whisking until combined. Pour in the melted chocolate mixture, then add the flour and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Allow to cool completely in the pan.
  5. While the brownies cool, prepare the buttercream frosting by beating softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, followed by heavy cream and flavor extracts. Beat until light and fluffy.
