Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ginger

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs or almond flour with melted butter and brown sugar. Mix until crumbly.
  2. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9×9-inch baking dish.
  3. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until slightly golden.
  4. Beat the cream cheese until smooth in another bowl, then add the eggs, vanilla extract, and spices. Mix until fluffy and airy.
  5. Pour the filling over your baked crust, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the filling has set and the edges start to pull away from the sides of the pan.
  7. Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use almond flour. You can add additional spices to taste.
