Instructions
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and blanch the green beans for 3-4 minutes until vibrant and crisp-tender.
- Transfer the beans to an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and add minced garlic, toasting until fragrant.
- Toss in the blanched green beans and sauté for 2-3 minutes until well-coated and warmed through.
- Add the toasted almonds and lemon juice, mixing everything until combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra almond slices if desired.
Notes
For variations, use frozen green beans, swap sliced almonds for chopped walnuts or pecans, and substitute olive oil for butter if desired.
