Instructions
- Cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Mix in eggs and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add flour, baking powder, and salt until a soft dough forms.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- On a floured surface, roll the chilled dough into a rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick.
- Spread your chosen filling evenly over the dough rectangle.
- Roll the dough tightly along the long edge to form a log and slice into 1/2-inch rounds.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
- Let them cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
For best results, chill the dough properly and avoid overmixing to retain tenderness.
