Description

Delightfully chewy and colorful cookies filled with your favorite sweet fillings, perfect for family gatherings and celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Your choice of fillings (chocolate chips, nut butters, dried fruits, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Mix in eggs and vanilla extract.
  2. Gradually add flour, baking powder, and salt until a soft dough forms.
  3. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  4. On a floured surface, roll the chilled dough into a rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Spread your chosen filling evenly over the dough rectangle.
  6. Roll the dough tightly along the long edge to form a log and slice into 1/2-inch rounds.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
  8. Let them cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough properly and avoid overmixing to retain tenderness.
