Description
A delightful dish combining tender beef, fresh asparagus, and aromatic garlic, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb beef (sirloin or flank steak), sliced thin
- 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh cilantro or green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Prep the Ingredients: Wash and trim the asparagus, then cut into bite-sized pieces. Thinly slice the beef against the grain.
- Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper. Add the sliced beef and let marinate for 30 minutes.
- Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Cook the Beef: Add the marinated beef in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding the pan. Sear for 2-3 minutes without stirring.
- Add the Vegetables: Toss in the asparagus and red pepper flakes, and sauté for another 4-5 minutes, stirring gently.
- Finish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve hot with steamed rice or crusty bread.
Notes
To enhance the flavor, avoid overcrowding the pan when cooking the beef, and use fresh ingredients whenever possible.
