Description
A comforting meal featuring tender chicken, bowtie pasta, and a rich, creamy garlic mozzarella sauce that brings warmth and nostalgia to your dining table.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
- 8 oz bowtie pasta
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Fresh herbs (basil, parsley, or thyme)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then sauté until golden and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes. Remove and let it rest.
- Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Gradually add the mozzarella cheese, stirring until it melts into a creamy sauce. Adjust heat to low.
- Return the chicken and cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet. Toss everything together to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce. Add fresh herbs and additional seasoning as desired.
- Serve in bowls, topping with extra cheese and herbs if desired.
Notes
For variations, try using different pasta shapes, cheese substitutes, or add sautéed mushrooms for extra flavor.
