- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the oats, flour, spices, and baking soda.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and molasses until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg to the butter mixture and blend well.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined.
- Use a cookie scoop to drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden and centers are slightly soft.
- Allow to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
