- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy and smooth.
- Add the pumpkin puree and mix until well combined, then add eggs one at a time.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and spices.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips evenly.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice into bars and enjoy!
Notes
Add extra chocolate chips on top before baking for a gooey finish. Let the bars cool completely for the best texture.
