  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy and smooth.
  3. Add the pumpkin puree and mix until well combined, then add eggs one at a time.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and spices.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips evenly.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Slice into bars and enjoy!

Notes

Add extra chocolate chips on top before baking for a gooey finish. Let the bars cool completely for the best texture.
