- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of ground cloves (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar and water over medium heat, stirring until dissolved.
- Add ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves if using. Bring to a slow simmer for 5-10 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Let cool before transferring to an airtight container.
