- 1–2 tsp green food coloring
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp salt
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time, and then the vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Stir in the green food coloring until desired shade is achieved.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are set.
- Let the cookies cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- For frosting, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth, then spread on cooled cookies.
- Optionally, top with festive sprinkles.
