- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp mint extract
- 3–4 drops green food coloring (optional)
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate coating (milk or white chocolate)
- Crushed peppermint candy or additional crushed Oreos for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a resealable bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos, softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, mint extract, and green food coloring. Stir until well blended.
- Form small balls (about one inch in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Refrigerate the balls for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- Melt the chocolate coating in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Dip each ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
- Place them back on the parchment paper to set. For a festive touch, sprinkle with crushed peppermint candy or Oreos before setting.
Notes
Ensure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing and achieve a smooth texture. Don’t rush the chocolate melting process to avoid seizing.
