- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 tbsp matcha powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Holiday sprinkles for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until well incorporated.
- Add the matcha powder and vanilla extract, mixing until fully blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and sprinkle holiday sprinkles on top, pressing them in gently.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before cutting into squares or rectangles and enjoy!
Notes
For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free flour blend. Optional: drizzle with melted chocolate before adding sprinkles.
