Description

Crispy and golden Ham and Cheese Sticks filled with savory ham and gooey cheese, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of puff pastry or crescent roll dough
  • 8 slices of thinly sliced smoked or honey-glazed ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg, whisked with 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or basil) for seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out your puff pastry on a floured surface or unroll the crescent roll dough.
  3. Cut the dough into rectangular pieces.
  4. Place a slice of ham on each piece, followed by a generous amount of cheese and a sprinkle of herbs.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges firmly. Use a fork to crimp the edges for decoration.
  6. Brush each stick with the egg wash for color.
  7. Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for about 15-20 minutes until golden and puffed.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For a healthier twist, consider using whole-grain dough. You can also freeze the sticks either before or after baking.
