Ingredients
- Ham (smoked or honey-baked)
- Cheese (mozzarella and sharp cheddar)
- Buttery dough or puff pastry
- Fresh herbs (parsley or chives)
- Garlic powder
- Dipping sauce (homemade marinara or honey mustard)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out your chosen dough on a clean surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut the dough into rectangles, about 3 inches wide.
- Layer a piece of ham and cheese on one half of each square (two slices of ham and one slice of cheese).
- Sprinkle with herbs and garlic powder.
- Fold the dough over the filling and press down the edges to seal.
- Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with salt.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
For a cheesy surprise, add a sprinkle of cheese inside the stick before sealing. Serve with a variety of dipping sauces for customization.
