Description

Decadent Hokkaido Cheese Tarts featuring a creamy cheese filling and a luscious lava center, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in butter until coarse crumbs form. Gradually add cold water until dough holds together.
  3. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Beat cream cheese and heavy cream in a mixing bowl until smooth. Add eggs, sugar, and vanilla; mix well.
  5. Roll out dough on a floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness and cut circles for tart pans.
  6. Press dough into tart pans and fill with cheese filling, about 3/4 full.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until set but slightly jiggly.
  8. Cool for a few minutes before serving warm for the gooey center.

Notes

For best results, avoid overmixing the filling and chill the dough properly.
