- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter (for crust)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Peel, core, and slice apples. Sprinkle lemon juice over slices.
- In a bowl, mix sliced apples with sugars and spices; let sit for 15-30 minutes.
- Prepare the pie crust by mixing flour and salt, cutting in butter, and adding cold water until dough holds together.
- Roll out the dough and place in a pie pan. Pour apple mixture into the crust and dot with butter.
- Bake for 15 minutes at 425°F, then reduce to 350°F (175°C) and bake for another 30-45 minutes.
- Let the pie cool for at least two hours before serving.
