- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1.5 cups breadcrumbs (panko or traditional)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Prep the Chicken: Cut chicken into bite-sized chunks and marinate in buttermilk in the fridge for at least 1 hour (up to overnight).
- Bread the Nuggets: Combine breadcrumbs and seasonings in a bowl. Remove chicken from buttermilk, let excess drip off, and coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat the Oil: Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Fry the Nuggets: Fry chicken in batches for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
