Description

Delicious homemade peppermint patties with a refreshing burst of peppermint and a smooth chocolate coating.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Peppermint Extract
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 8 ounces Dark Chocolate or Milk Chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

Instructions

  1. Combine sweetened condensed milk and peppermint extract in a large bowl until smooth.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing until it forms a soft dough.
  3. Roll out the dough to about ½ inch thick, cut out patties, and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Freeze the patties for 30 minutes.
  5. Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
  6. Dip each patty into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off, and place back on parchment.
  7. Allow chocolate to set at room temperature or refrigerate for quicker results.

Notes

Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies on top of the chocolate for added crunch and decoration.
