Description

Delicious and nostalgic Homemade Peppermint Patties coated in rich chocolate with a refreshing minty center.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Milk chocolate chips or bar (for dipping)
  • Coconut oil (optional, for melting chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by clearing the counter and gathering all ingredients and tools.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and peppermint extract. Mix until a dough-like consistency is achieved.
  3. Shape the mixture into small balls and flatten them into disks about 1/4 inch thick on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Refrigerate the patties for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Melt the milk chocolate in a microwave or double boiler, stirring in coconut oil for sheen.
  6. Dip each chilled patty in the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off, and place back on the parchment-lined sheet.
  7. Let the dipped patties set at room temperature or speed up the process by chilling in the fridge.
  8. Enjoy your Homemade Peppermint Patties!

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute with coconut condensed milk. You can also use peppermint oil instead of extract if needed.
