Description

A warm and comforting beverage combining sweet vanilla, earthy cinnamon, and creamy milk, perfect for cozy afternoons.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons black tea
  • 2 cups whole milk or non-dairy alternative
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 12 tablespoons sugar or honey (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Boil 2 cups of water in a small saucepan.
  2. Add 2 teaspoons of black tea to the boiling water and steep for 3-5 minutes.
  3. In another saucepan, heat 2 cups of milk without boiling it.
  4. Stir in 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract and ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon into the milk.
  5. Add 1-2 tablespoons of sugar or honey to the milk mixture, according to taste.
  6. Strain the brewed tea into the milk mixture, stirring gently.
  7. Serve in mugs and sprinkle a little cinnamon on top.

Notes

For a different flavor, try substituting black tea with chai or green tea. Serve with scones or cookies for an afternoon treat.
