Description
A comforting dish featuring juicy pork chops seared to perfection and coated in a luscious honey garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
- Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and black pepper.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove the chops to a plate, then add garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Stir in honey and soy sauce, scraping the bottom of the skillet to incorporate all the flavor bits.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, coating them in the sauce. Simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve with a drizzle of sauce and garnish with herbs if desired.
Notes
For best results, allow pork chops to rest before cooking and avoid overcrowding the skillet.
