- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup milk (or plant-based alternative)
- 1 cup flour (or gluten-free flour)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sweet corn, honey, melted butter, beaten eggs, milk, flour, and salt and pepper until smooth.
- Add optional extras like sautéed mushrooms or cheese if desired and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until set and golden brown on top.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Keep the casserole covered with foil for the first 25 minutes of baking to prevent over-browning. Remove the foil for the last 20 minutes.
