- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, beat soft butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded balls of dough onto the baking sheet, leaving space between each. Sprinkle a little sea salt on top.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are set and centers are still soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking. Avoid overbaking to maintain gooey centers.
