A creamy and savory dip made with sautéed mushrooms, garlic, and a cheesy base, perfect for gatherings and family get-togethers.
Ingredients

- 2 cups diced cremini and shiitake mushrooms
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2–3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite)
- 1 splash of Worcestershire sauce
- Fresh herbs like thyme or parsley, to taste
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté onions and mushrooms until tender (5-7 minutes).
- Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheese, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
- Fold in the sautéed ingredients until well combined.
- Season with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs to taste.
- Transfer to a baking dish and smooth the top. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving with crackers or baguette slices.
Notes
Feel free to experiment with different types of mushrooms and cheeses. Greek yogurt can be used as a lighter alternative to cream cheese.
