A delightful pasta salad combining al dente pasta, juicy cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, and a creamy homemade dressing—perfect for summer gatherings.
Ingredients

- 8 oz rotini or fusilli pasta
- 1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
- 1 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, around 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
- In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a large bowl, combine cooled pasta, cherry tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella balls. Toss with the dressing until well coated.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with extra basil leaves before serving.
Notes
For extra crunch, add toasted pine nuts or walnuts just before serving. This salad is best when chilled for enhanced flavor.
