Description

A spicy and savory burger featuring ground beef mixed with jalapeños and topped with melted cheddar cheese, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 23 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 burger buns, toasted
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Lettuce, tomato, and condiments for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the jalapeños: Remove the stems and seeds, then dice finely.
  2. Mix the meat: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, jalapeños, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, and paprika without overworking the mixture.
  3. Form patties: Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties with a slight indentation in the center.
  4. Preheat the grill or skillet and cook the patties for about 4–5 minutes on each side, adding cheese on top a minute before they finish cooking.
  5. Toast the buns on the grill or in the skillet until golden and crisp.
  6. Assemble the burgers with toppings and serve immediately.

Notes

Let the patties rest for a few minutes before serving to keep them juicy.
