- 2–3 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 4 burger buns, toasted
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- Lettuce, tomato, and condiments for topping
Instructions
- Prepare the jalapeños: Remove the stems and seeds, then dice finely.
- Mix the meat: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, jalapeños, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, and paprika without overworking the mixture.
- Form patties: Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties with a slight indentation in the center.
- Preheat the grill or skillet and cook the patties for about 4–5 minutes on each side, adding cheese on top a minute before they finish cooking.
- Toast the buns on the grill or in the skillet until golden and crisp.
- Assemble the burgers with toppings and serve immediately.
