Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped walnuts and chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them at least 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and centers are soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For extra decadence, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top right after baking.
