Description

A delightful dish featuring salmon fillets cooked in a flavorful lemon garlic butter sauce, perfect for family gatherings or elegant dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 fresh lemons (zest and juice)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (thyme or parsley)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat and stir in the minced garlic for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add in the fresh herbs and lemon zest, stirring to combine.
  5. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and pour half the lemon garlic butter sauce over them.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or pan-sear for 5-7 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-5 minutes until done.
  7. Drizzle remaining sauce on the salmon and garnish with lemon slices before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute butter with olive oil. This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables or fluffy rice.
