- 4 salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 fresh lemons (zest and juice)
- 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (thyme or parsley)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the salmon fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat and stir in the minced garlic for about 30 seconds.
- Add in the fresh herbs and lemon zest, stirring to combine.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and pour half the lemon garlic butter sauce over them.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or pan-sear for 5-7 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-5 minutes until done.
- Drizzle remaining sauce on the salmon and garnish with lemon slices before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute butter with olive oil. This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables or fluffy rice.
