- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1 envelope unflavored powdered gelatin
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the Gelatin: In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over 3 tablespoons of cold water and allow it to bloom for 5-10 minutes.
- Heat the Cream: In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract over medium heat, stirring gently until sugar dissolves.
- Add Lemons and Gelatin: Remove from heat, add lemon juice and zest, and stir in bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
- Mold the Panna Cotta: Pour the mixture into ramekins or cups, cool slightly, then cover and refrigerate for at least four hours or until set.
- Serve with Style: Release from molds if desired and top with fresh berries, honey, or extra lemon zest.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream. You can also experiment with different toppings.
