- 12 Mozzarella Cheese Sticks
- 12 strips of Thick-Cut Bacon
- 1/2 cup Nashville Hot Sauce
- 1/4 cup Almond Flour (or crushed pork rinds)
- 2 Eggs, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut each mozzarella stick in half if they are too long.
- Wrap a strip of bacon around each mozzarella stick snugly.
- Dip each wrapped mozzarella stick into the beaten egg, allowing excess to drip off.
- Roll the sticks in almond flour (or crushed pork rinds) and desired seasonings.
- Place on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each stick.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, until bacon is crispy and cheese is melting.
- Drizzle Nashville hot sauce over each stick before serving.
- Serve immediately with a cool dipping sauce.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute turkey bacon for regular bacon. Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese and spices.
