- 8 slices thick-cut bacon
- 8 part-skim mozzarella sticks
- 2 tablespoons Nashville hot seasoning (cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, brown sugar)
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 2 large eggs
- Optional: Fresh herbs (parsley or thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix together the Nashville hot seasoning ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
- Wrap each mozzarella stick with a slice of bacon, securing the ends with a toothpick.
- In a small bowl, whisk the eggs. In another bowl, place the almond flour mixed with a tablespoon of the seasoning blend.
- Dip each bacon-wrapped mozzarella stick into the egg wash, then roll in the almond flour mixture.
- Place the sticks on the baking sheet and sprinkle with any additional seasoning.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the bacon is crispy and golden brown.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
For extra crispiness, consider using a wire rack on top of the baking sheet. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
