Description

Comforting and visually appealing mashed potato cups topped with crispy bacon and chives, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Mashed potatoes (fresh or leftovers)
  • Butter
  • Cream or milk
  • Cheese (cheddar, cream cheese, or goat cheese)
  • Aromatics (garlic and onion)
  • Fresh herbs (chives or parsley)
  • Toppings (crispy bacon, sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. If using fresh potatoes, peel and cut into quarters. Boil until fork-tender, about 15 minutes; drain and return to pot.
  3. Add butter, cream, and desired seasonings to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and fluffy; taste and adjust seasoning.
  4. Fold in cheese and chopped herbs.
  5. Scoop mixture into cups using a piping bag or spoon, leaving space at the top for toppings.
  6. Layer toppings on each cup.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until tops are golden and crispy.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

You can substitute butter or cream with vegetable broth or olive oil for a lighter version. Customize toppings for variety.
