Description

A delightful blend of creamy matcha and chewy tapioca pearls, perfect for family gatherings and refreshing any day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 teaspoons high-quality ceremonial grade matcha powder
  • 1 cup milk (whole, almond, oat, or coconut)
  • Sweetener (honey, agave syrup, or simple syrup to taste)
  • 1/4 cup quick-cooking tapioca pearls
  • Water for cooking tapioca pearls

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tapioca Pearls: Boil water in a pot, add tapioca pearls, and cook according to package instructions (usually 5-10 minutes) until translucent. Rinse in cold water and soak in sweetened water.
  2. Mix the Matcha: Whisk matcha powder with a small amount of hot water until smooth.
  3. Combine Ingredients: In a glass, add sweetened tapioca pearls, then pour in the matcha mixture. Fill with your choice of milk.
  4. Add Sweetener: Taste and adjust sweetness as desired.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Add ice if desired and top with whipped cream. Sip through a wide straw.

Notes

For a flavored twist, add a splash of flavored syrup or a dollop of whipped cream. If you can’t find tapioca pearls, chia seeds are a healthy alternative.
