Instructions
- Cook the Noodles: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about a cup of the pasta cooking water, then drain the noodles.
- Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, stirring frequently.
- Introduce the Herbs: Toss in your selected herbs, allowing their flavor to blossom for about a minute.
- Combine and Toss: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing gently until every strand is coated in the garlicky butter. Use reserved pasta water to achieve a glossy texture if needed.
- Mushroom Magic: If using mushrooms, sauté them in a separate skillet and fold them into the noodles.
- Finish Off: Sprinkle grated Parmesan on top, toss everything one last time, and serve warm with additional herbs.
