- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup yogurt or sour cream (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mash the overripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until chunky but smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter, then add sugar, eggs, and vanilla; mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
