A mouthwatering ribeye steak rubbed with native pepperberry and herbs, perfect for family gatherings and special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Ribeye Steak
  • 1 tablespoon Native Pepperberry Rub
  • 1 tablespoon Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Olive Oil
  • Fresh Herbs (Rosemary or Thyme)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced or crushed)

Instructions

  1. Allow your ribeye to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, combine native pepperberry, black pepper, and salt. Add minced garlic and herbs if desired.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over both sides of the ribeye.
  4. Generously rub the spice mix over the steak and let it sit for 10-15 minutes to marinate.
  5. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the ribeye for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
  6. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve sliced against the grain with desired sides.

Notes

For a touch of sweetness, consider adding honey or maple syrup to the rub. Sautéed mushrooms and cream potatoes pair excellently with this dish.
