A delightful mix of sweet and salty, these No-Bake Salted Caramel Pretzel Bars are perfect for any gathering, combining crunchy pretzel crust with rich caramel and smooth chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups small pretzel twists
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, plus more for topping

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Crush the pretzels into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter and sugar until combined. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. If making homemade caramel, melt sugar in a saucepan until golden brown, then add butter and cream until smooth. Stir in sea salt.
  4. Pour the caramel over the pretzel base and let cool slightly.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips and pour over the caramel, spreading evenly. Sprinkle sea salt on top.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 120 minutes until set.
  7. Lift the bars out of the pan, slice into squares, and serve.
