Description

Delicious and flaky croissants filled with rich Nutella, perfect for a sweet breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package Croissant Dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • Nutella (or any chocolate hazelnut spread)
  • 1 Egg (beaten with a splash of water for egg wash)
  • Powdered Sugar (for dusting, optional)
  • Chopped Hazelnuts (optional for extra crunch)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Roll out homemade dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
  2. Cut the Dough: Slice the dough into triangles wide enough to hold a tablespoon of Nutella.
  3. Add Nutella: Place a spoonful of Nutella at the base of each triangle.
  4. Roll Them Up: Roll the dough from the base to the tip to create a crescent shape, tucking in the tip.
  5. Egg Wash: Place rolled croissants on a lined baking sheet and brush with the egg wash.
  6. Bake: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
  7. Serve: Let cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.

Notes

Consider adding a sprinkle of sea salt for flavor contrast. Enjoy fresh or reheated.
