Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until fluffy.
- Add in the eggs one at a time, along with the vanilla extract, and beat until incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together oats, flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruit as desired.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges turn golden brown; centers should remain soft.
- Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a nuttier flavor, toast the oats lightly before mixing. Avoid using instant oats for best texture.
